Religion in Public Institutions: Comparative Perspectives from the U.S., U.K., and Europe
This collaborative project begins to explore how to conceptualize and measure religion and spirituality in public institutions in the United States, United Kingdom and Europe. Mar Grier, Ines Michalowski, Kristen Lucken and I outline a comparative framework through which to approach this question that would facilitate cross-national research. A symposium on this topic was recently published in the Journal for the Scientific Study of Religion and we are eager to hear from colleagues interested in contributing to it. This effort aims to further the work of the Religions & Public Institutions Network based in Europe.
